The news rarely stops in the world of video games, and today, we’ve got another batch to take a look at. The newest Super Smash Bros. Ultimate characters, Pyra and Mythra, will be shown off in more detail next week, the latest Cyberpunk 2077 update has been delayed, Valheim has reached another sales milestone, and more. Here’s the video game news you might’ve missed on Feb. 24, 2021.
Cyberpunk 2077’s Latest 1.2 Patch Has Been Delayed
In light of the recent CD Projekt cyber attack, the studio is delaying Cyberpunk 2077‘s 1.2 patch — which the team says will go “beyond any of” its previous updates. Patch 1.2 will now launch sometime in the second half of March 2021 and is supposed to offer a slew of additional fixes. It’s unclear if the other updates detailed in the game’s roadmap will also be delayed now.
While we dearly wanted to deliver Patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077 in the timespan we detailed previously, the recent cyber attack on the studioās IT infrastructure and extensive scope of the update mean this unfortunately will not happen ā weāll need some additional time. 1/3
