Ikumi Nakamura Has Founded a New Indie Japanese Studio

Ikumi Nakamura, whom you might know as the former creative director of Ghostwire Tokyo, has started her own independent development studio that is yet to be named. This news comes by way of a video titled “Ikumi Nakamura – Remnant Tour” from Game*Spark, which depicts Nakamura exploring abandoned buildings as she talks about her desires to have her own studio. You might remember Nakamura’s wholesome appearance during Bethesda’s E3 2019 showcase, where she showed off Ghostwire Tokyo before leaving Tango Gameworks just three months later.

Rocket League Sideswipe Mobile Game Announced

Psyonix has announced Rocket League Sideswipe, a standalone game for mobile devices. The main difference is in its perspective, as it’s presented from a side view, which is much more friendly for mobile devices. In it, you can play in either 1v1 or 2v2 matches that last for two minutes, giving it a fast-paced feeling. Rocket League Sideswipe will release later this year free on Android and iOS, and “Starting today, players in Australia and New Zealand will be able to join a limited-time Regional Alpha test on Android via the Google Play Store.” You can check out its trailer below.

Steam Next Fest Event Planned to Take Place During E3

Valve has announced that it will hold the Steam Next Fest event (previously known as Steam Game Festival) alongside this year’s E3. Steam Next Fest will run from June 16 – June 22 and will feature “hundreds of game demos,” along with developer livestreams and the ability to chat with teams making Steam games. Raven Software Has Banned 13,000 More Warzone Cheaters

As announced by Raven Software recently, the developer has released another ban wave in Call of Duty: Warzone, this time removing 13,000 more accounts. The studio has been issuing frequent bans by the thousands recently and has removed over 300,000 cheaters since the game launched. Though, from our experience, it’s still common to run by other players who are utilizing aim-bots or other cheat software since all they need to do is make a new account in order to continue playing.

Team Ninja Is Open to Adding Ryu from Ninja Gaiden to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

As part of an interview with Famitsu, Team Ninja’s Fumihiko Yasuda said the developer is open to adding Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Per Nintendo Enthusiast translation, Yasuda said, “Weā€™re waiting for the invitation letter,” from Nintendo to collaborate on adding Ryu Hayabusa to the popular fighting game. Yasuda also mentioned Team Ninja is aware that fans want more Ninja Gaiden and is interested in making another game, though nothing is publicly in the cards right now.
