Wiglett is the latest abomination revealed to join the growing roster of unique Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This long, stringy variation of Nintendo’s classic ground type, Diglett, is more than a stretched-out and discolored update. Known as the Garden Eel Pokémon, Wiglett is considered to be a completely different species of Pokémon. They use their long bodies to feed in the ocean while the rest of it sticks out of the sand. Wiglett might be the region of Paldea’s strangest (and grossest) Water type, but each one you collect will certainly be a welcomed addition to the team. See Wiglett worm its way into Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in the reveal trailer below.
Wiglett is only the latest monster to join the long, long list of Pokémon you’ll be able to capture and train in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Earlier this month we got a peek at the Poison/Normal-type tree-painting monkey Grafaiai, and in August, we learned about creatures like Fidough, the Paldean Wooper, and Cetitan. Thanks to The Pokémon Company’s promise of three narrative adventures to play through, you’ll have more than enough time to see everything these fresh settings have to offer.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet launch for Nintendo Switch on November 18, and there is a special corresponding Switch OLED Model.
