X-Men ’97 First Look Revealed with Magneto as Leader, Season 2 Greenlit

At San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2022, Marvel Studios revealed a first look at animated series revival X-Men ’97, which has a fall 2023 premiere date on Disney+. Additionally, Marvel has already confirmed that X-Men ’97 will receive a season 2. As the show is set to continue the story from the original series, fans can expect to see many familiar faces. The main cast will consist of core characters like Gambit, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Storm, and many others will feature as well, such as Cable, Bishop, Forge, Morph, Nightcrawler, Sunspot, White Queen, Sebastian Shaw, Callisto, and Val Cooper. Magneto will notably lead the X-Men in ’97, following from the conclusion of the original series, which saw the villain reforming after Professor X was nearly fatally injured and taken off world to recover.
